Traditionally online devices are dependant on a connection to the fixed telephony or broadband networks. This can lead to costly installation charges and long term revenue commitments.

GSM / GPRS Communications
- The X-Series Products use GSM / GPRS mobile communications from any GSM network provider, to communicate with the central management servers. The units can also be configured to only receive messages. This means that each unit does not create individual telephony charges for operation. Real time information feeds can be scheduled for regular periodic update, ensuring that the unit always displays the most relevant and up to date information. All charges for use of the GSM networks can be centralised and bulk purchased economically.
- Infomatixs has also partnered with private GSM network provider MCOM. The installation of a network of X-Series devices in a campus or resort style environment can be supplemented by the installation of a private GSM network to allow for truly free operation.
